What dental services does Malar Dental offer?
At Malar Dental, we offer a comprehensive range of dental treatments under one roof, including Diabetic Dental Care, Painless Root Canal Therapy, Cosmetic Dentistry (teeth whitening, veneers, smile makeovers), Dental Implants, Children’s Dentistry (Paediatric), Braces & Invisalign Clear Aligners, and Laser Dentistry. Our clinic is led by Dr. Muthu Malarkodi, MDS — a specialist Periodontist with over 15 years of clinical experience.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book in three easy ways: (1) Call us at +91 98844 89897 during clinic hours, (2) Email us at malar.dental@outlook.com, or (3) Use the online booking system on our Appointments page. Walk-in patients are also welcome, subject to availability. We are open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM–1:30 PM and 4:30 PM–8:30 PM.
Is dental treatment painful at Malar Dental?
Patient comfort is our highest priority. We use modern anaesthetic techniques and gentle, minimally invasive instruments to ensure that even procedures like root canals and extractions are as painless as possible. Our patients regularly share how surprised they are by the comfort of their experience — as you’ll see in our patient testimonials.
Do you offer special dental care for diabetic patients?
Yes — Diabetic Dental Care is one of our core specialities. Diabetes significantly raises the risk of gum disease, delayed healing, and oral infections. Dr. Malarkodi, as a specialist Periodontist, has specific expertise in treating diabetic patients safely, with modified protocols for bleeding control, anaesthesia, and post-operative care. We work alongside your physician when needed.
What hygiene and sterilisation standards does the clinic follow?
Malar Dental follows international sterilisation protocols. All instruments are autoclaved (steam sterilised) between patients. We use single-use disposable items wherever possible, disinfect all surfaces between appointments, and our clinical team strictly follows PPE and hand hygiene protocols. You can visit with complete confidence in your safety.
How often should I visit the dentist?
We recommend a routine dental check-up and professional cleaning every 6 months for most patients. If you have gum disease, diabetes, or wear orthodontic appliances, visits every 3 to 4 months are advisable. Regular visits allow us to catch problems early — preventing pain, tooth loss, and more expensive treatment later.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring: any previous dental X-rays or treatment records, a list of current medications (especially important for diabetic patients), and a note of any dental symptoms or concerns you’d like to discuss. Arriving 5–10 minutes early helps us set up your file smoothly. A family member or companion is always welcome.
Do you treat children at Malar Dental?
Absolutely. We love treating little patients! Our Children’s Dental services include first tooth check-ups, fluoride treatments, dental sealants, milk tooth fillings, habit counselling (for thumb sucking or pacifier use), and space maintainers. Our child-friendly approach is designed to make every visit a calm, positive experience — building healthy dental habits for life.
How do I know if I need braces or Invisalign?
Both braces and Invisalign correct misaligned teeth, crowding, and bite issues — but each has advantages depending on your case. Invisalign is virtually invisible and removable, making it ideal for adults and teens concerned about aesthetics. Traditional braces may be recommended for more complex alignment cases. Dr. Malarkodi will evaluate your teeth, jaw, and bite during a consultation and recommend the best option for your specific needs. We offer both systems at our clinic.
